National Volunteer Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the incredible individuals who
generously give their time, energy and compassion to support others within our
community.
At Bundaberg RSL Club Sub-Branch, we are proud to acknowledge the amazing volunteers
who continue to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our Veterans and wider
community every single week.
One very special group we would like to recognise are our dedicated Thursday Hospital
Volunteers, who spend their mornings visiting Veterans in hospital. Being confined to a
hospital bed can often be a long and lonely journey, but thanks to these compassionate
volunteers, no Veteran has to face it alone.
Whether they are offering a familiar face, lending a shoulder to cry on, or simply sitting
quietly for a chat, their presence provides comfort, connection and care when it is needed
most. Their kindness and commitment truly embody the spirit of mateship and community
support.
As part of National Volunteer Week celebrations, the Bundaberg RSL Club Sub Branch
Volunteer Appreciation Day was held as a small gesture to say a very big THANK YOU to all
of the volunteers who continually show up, lend a hand and support others so selflessly.
From behind-the-scenes assistance to community outreach and welfare support, every
contribution matters. Every hour given, every laugh shared and every act of kindness helps
strengthen our community and improve the lives of those around us.
Communities simply do not thrive without volunteers, and we are incredibly grateful for the
compassion, dedication and generosity shown by each and every one of our volunteers.
To all our volunteers — thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to those
who served and to our local community. You are truly the heart of Bundaberg RSL Club Sub
