During May, Bundaberg Legacy Inc proudly raised $1300 through the Friday Night
Community Raffles at Bundaberg RSL Club — another fantastic example of how our
members and guests continue to make a real difference in the local community.
Thanks to everyone who purchased raffle tickets throughout the month; these funds will
help Bundaberg Legacy continue providing practical, emotional and social support to the
families of veterans throughout the Bundaberg region.
Supporting the Families of Those Who Served
Established in 1948, Bundaberg Legacy has been caring for the families of veterans who
have given their lives or health in the service of Australia for more than 75 years. The
organisation supports widows, dependants and families by providing ongoing care,
companionship and assistance, ensuring they remain connected and supported throughout
life’s challenges.
Legacy’s dedicated volunteers and staff provide a wide range of services including:
Social activities and community connection
Welfare and emotional support
Home and aged care assistance
Financial and practical assistance when needed
Regular visits and wellbeing checks for those in their care
Today, Bundaberg Legacy supports more than 436 widows and their families across
Bundaberg and surrounding communities, continuing the Legacy promise that no veteran’s
family will ever face life’s challenges alone.
