Bundaberg SES Raises $2,105 Through Community Raffles

During April, the Bundaberg State Emergency Service (SES) proudly raised $2,105

through the Friday night community raffles at Bundaberg RSL Club — a fantastic

result that highlights the generosity of local members and guests while supporting

one of the region's most important volunteer emergency service organisations.

Each Friday night at Bundaberg RSL Club, tickets go on sale from 5 pm with draws

starting at 7 pm. Patrons have the chance to win seafood vouchers, meat trays and

other great prizes — all while supporting local community groups such as emergency

services, sporting clubs, charities and volunteer organisations.

What Does the SES Do?

The Bundaberg State Emergency Service (SES) is a volunteer-based emergency

response organisation that provides vital assistance to the community during floods,

storms and other emergency situations. The SES also supports Queensland Police

Service, Queensland Fire Department and other emergency agencies during a range

of incidents and disasters.

SES volunteers play an important role in protecting local communities through:

• Storm and flood response

• Emergency assistance during severe weather events

• Search and rescue support

• Community education and preparedness activities

• Assisting other emergency services during disasters and major incidents

Across the Bundaberg Region, dedicated SES volunteers help prepare, respond and

recover from emergencies, contributing to stronger and more resilient communities.

The Bundaberg RSL Club is passionate about supporting veterans and local

community groups through regular raffles, creating valuable fundraising opportunities

for organisations like the Bundaberg SES to continue their important work.

Friday night raffles are more than just a chance to win great prizes — they are an

opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a great night out and directly

support the volunteers who are there when help is needed most.

The Bundaberg SES can be found on Facebook, where they regularly share

updates on training, community activities, emergency responses and volunteer

opportunities.
